SECURITY TERMS

1. Scope of Service 

This agreement covers the services outlined under the selected Bakofys Web Assurance Plan (Standard, Premium, or Enterprise), including but not limited to website health checks, updates, backups, local and external security monitoring, and monthly reporting. 

2. Client Responsibilities 

  • Clients must provide full administrative access to the website, hosting, and domain control panel as needed. 
  • Clients are responsible for maintaining valid licensing for any premium plugins, themes, or tools used on their website unless otherwise agreed. 

3. Service Limitations 

  • While all reasonable efforts will be made to secure, monitor, and maintain the website, no system is 100% immune to compromise. 
  • Bakofys does not guarantee prevention of all attacks or issues, but does commit to identifying, alerting, and recommending appropriate responses. 
  • Emergency fixes outside the scope of routine monitoring may incur additional charges (clients will be informed beforehand). 

4. Backups and Recovery 

  • Backup monitoring and verification will be conducted monthly. 
  • In the event of data loss or website compromise, recovery will be initiated using the most recent available backup. Bakofys is not liable for losses if backups are not restorable due to hosting or third-party failures. 

5. Security Testing 

  • External penetration testing via Beagle Security is performed safely and within legal bounds. 
  • Reports are for informational and compliance purposes and should not be considered legal certification. 

6. Reports 

  • Reports are generated monthly and include summaries of health checks, security scans, updates performed, and risk levels using the colour-coded indicator system. 

7. Billing and Payment 

  • The selected plan is billed monthly in advance. 
  • Payment is due within 7 days of invoice. Failure to pay may result in suspension of service. 
  • Prices are subject to review with 30 days' notice. 

8. Cancellation and Termination 

  • Either party may cancel the agreement with 30 days’ written notice. 
  • No refunds will be issued for partial months. 
  • Upon cancellation, services will cease at the end of the paid billing cycle. 

9. Confidentiality 

Bakofys agrees to maintain confidentiality of all client data and will not share access credentials or sensitive information without written consent. 

10. Liability 

Bakofys will not be held liable for any direct or indirect losses due to website downtime, breaches, or failures outside of its control (e.g. hosting outages, third-party plugin issues, force majeure).
